Japanese Voice Actor Tomoyuki Dan Passes Away

Anime voice actor Tomoyuki Dan passed away on October 10, 2013 due to recurring aortic dissection. He was 50 years old at the time of his passing.



He was born under his real name of Yoshio Tanaka on August 6, 1963. He joined Seinenza in 1987, where he had a long career in stage productions. He also appeared in Madadayo, the final film directed by Akira Kurosawa. He also did Japanese dubs of foreign films in addition to anime voice acting.




As an anime voice actor, his credits include: Kisame Hoshigaki in Naruto Shippuden, Cronicle Asher in Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, Orihara-sensei in Air Gear, Minami in La Corda d'Oro - primo passo, Ishikawa in Ghost in the Shell Arise, and Kojiro Honda in Day Break Illusion.
